Sherry Strong had a career as a celebrity chef and nutritionist in Australia before she returned to her native Canada and re-establish herself. She became the Alberta Director of the Children’s Health Defense organization and her job involved much public speaking around the country. Post COVID Sherry talks about her family experiences and about courage, “I was afraid for humanity. I was really sad and went through a real dark night of the soul around, that humans couldn’t see through this and what they were willing to do to one another to save their physical assets or their social reputation as opposed to be more concerned about their fellow man or their soul. Dean Beaudry, a 30 year engineer working for Syncrude as a risk assessment and mitigation manager, describes the failure of Canada’s healthcare leadership to follow essential risk management practices during the COVID crisis, as well as lack of accountability and competence of such leadership. He is a grocery store worker who was refused a mask exemption in spite of his years long suffering with migraines. Brandon and his wife missed seeing their first grandson for the first six months of his life, his church became divided and he experienced public shaming for his “Unvaxxed” choice.

Steven Kiedyk, aged thirty-seven, works as a land surveyor, a profession that requires a degree of physical activity. Mr. Kiedyk was an active gym attendee and completed a marathon in 2019. Mr. Kiedyk was adamant that he did not want to take the COVID vaccine, however increasing pressure from society restrictions and harassment resulted in him getting the Pfizer vaccine in July 2021. In October 2021, during a game of basketball, Mr. Kiedyk collapsed and lost consciousness.

Ms. Snow worked in a director- level position for TJX Canada overseeing the Workplace Services Department for their head office in Canada. Ms. Snow worked from home during the pandemic until late 2021. The corporate headquarters (in Boston) started considering vaccine mandates, and started surveying employees. A mandate was put in place in December 2021 stating that by February 28, 2022 all staff must be vaccinated, or they would be terminated. Ms. Snow was fired.
