The owner of a security company in Manitoba, Don Woodstock's business almost tripled in size during the pandemic but he says the level of fear felt by people he encountered was enormous. Don felt he had to get shots to enter people's homes. Don believes that we must adapt to the lies government tells us. He says, "I think we need to find a way to look beyond and don't get to the point where we hate our neighbour whether they are vaccinated or not".

Brian Giesbrecht is a retired provincial court judge of 31 years in Manitoba who has written extensively on free speech and Indigenous issues. When the pandemic started, he teamed up with retired Lieutenant Colonel David Redman of Alberta to co-write some articles for newspapers pointing to the success that Sweden was having with their approach to the pandemic. “I was very surprised that the reaction was almost uniformly hostile,” he said. Taking a different view than the government narrative was absolutely discouraged by the media.
