Brian Giesbrecht is a retired provincial court judge of 31 years in Manitoba who has written extensively on free speech and Indigenous issues. When the pandemic started, he teamed up with retired Lieutenant Colonel David Redman of Alberta to co-write some articles for newspapers pointing to the success that Sweden was having with their approach to the pandemic. “I was very surprised that the reaction was almost uniformly hostile,” he said.
